Sustainability Data Analyst - Nationwide

We are seeking Sustainability Data Analyst to play a key role in advancing our ESG initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, the Sustainability Data Analyst will analyse critical sustainability data, develop insightful reports, and contribute to impactful environmental strategies across the Chadwicks Group in the Republic of Ireland and MacNaughton Blair in Northern Ireland. This pivotal role offers the flexibility of hybrid working and can be based in either Belfast or Dublin. Knowledge & Experience 

  • Adept at leveraging data-driven insights for strategic decision making
  • Excellent project management and data collection and analytical skills.
  • Championing and motivating colleagues to bring new ideas and try new approaches.
  • A natural collaborator, proficient in engaging with various stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and employees, to gather required sustainability related data.
  • Ability to collect, store and manage data to stand up to external auditing scrutiny
  • Full clean drivers license

Key Responsibilities

  • Rigorous data analysis
  • Perform a comprehensive analysis of sustainability-related data, spanning a wide array of product lines and categories.
  • Utilise advanced analytical techniques to identify trends and pinpoint areas of improvement.
  • Innovate and design data models and interactive dashboards that provide real-time insights into sustainability performance.
  • Regularly update and refine these tools to adapt to evolving business needs and sustainability goals.
  • Ensure the models are user-friendly and accessible, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions
  • Act as a contributor in the development and execution of sustainability strategies.
  • Leverage data insights to inform and shape initiatives, ranging from waste reduction programs to carbon footprint projects.
  • Implement a schedule of reviews and audits to continually assess the accuracy and integrity of sustainability data.
  • Articulate complex data findings in a clear and impactful manner
  • Prepare detailed quarterly reports to highlight key insights and progress with sustainability targets.
  • Track charity hours and funds raised by colleagues.
  • Prepare presentations for Grafton Group, sales teams and suppliers

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within sustainability roles and/or exposure to the building materials sector preferred but not essential

Contract Type

  • Permanent full time
  • Full time 39-hour contract
  • Working week Monday to Friday (Hybrid Working)
  • Location: Dublin or Belfast
