Credit Control Assistant - Davies - Raheny, Dublin 5
Part of the Grafton Group PLC, Davies Group Ltd is one of the market leaders in plumbing, heating and below ground drainage product. The core of the business is based around a specialist team of staff based out of two locations with one being in North Dublin and the other based in the south of the city. The group has established a range of high-end brands which offer both quality and affordability in a unique way with service underpinning the principal focus of customer relations.
Principle Objective
The role of the Credit Controller is to maintain a debtor’s ledger and ensure that our customers pay in a timely manner. The successful candidate will provide support to our customers with copy invoices/signed dockets if/when required.
Knowledge & Experience
Previous experience in Credit Control.
Excellent written and numerical skills.
Knowledge of accounting.
Previous cash handling experience preferable but not essential.
Good IT literacy (Microsoft Office)
Key Responsibilities
Cash collection targets (Debtor Days)
Updating incoming payments daily on the finance system.
Query management.
Preparation of cash lodgements for collection by security company.
Working closely with the Credit Manager to ensure credit terms are adhered to.
Liasing with the sales staff to resolve any queries that arise with our customers.
Essential Competencies
Previous experience in a credit control position.
Excellent interpersonal and Communication skills with attention to detail.
Strong negotiation & relationship skills.
Motivated and driven individual with ability to prioritise workload.
